Session 1

March 1, 4710
Party departed Restov after much debate as to what to carry with them on their journey.
Day was windy and clear, but reasonably warm. Party departed with wine, but no coffee. That was their first mistake.

Catch was played with Hamilton, who enjoyed this thoroughly.

Encountered a small farm to the north of the road and bought coffee at Edgar and Edna’s farm.

March 2, 4710

Party remained at the farm to avoid a hailstorm and terrible weather.

An old saddle was found to be in poor repair. Tales were told of saddles and the saddle was repaired and polished. Pigs were wrangled.

Edgar considers opening an inn, with prodding and mentions that “Breeg Orlivanch, a foul-mannered trapper, has been missing for some time—they say he gave up trapping and joined the bandits!”

He also tells of Fort Sarenko, which is where the Shrike turns south.

March 3, 4710

Weather is warm and a light breeze. Party heads west to Nivatka’s Crossing.

There was a single inn, manned by Mistress Flama, a consipiritorial woman who sees patterns in everything. A show was put on.

Trapper Garret:
“Old Tuskgutter eats people. Gets what he can get. Said a friend saw a unicorn in the Narlmarches. Breeg Orlivanch? Sets bear traps for people. He’s been out there too long. Now that you mention it I haven’t seen him in a while. "

Hamilton gets head scratched and sits by the fire.

March 4, 4710

A cloudy day. The party travels west.

March 5

A cloudy day, the party travels west to Fort Sarenko.

Party enters the fort, and meets the Merry Band:

Denton – Drinking from the horn, and playing the lute
Rodrick – red faced and laughing his ass off
Thomas – amused by performances, but trying to keep a level head. (Party Leader?)
Simon – Drunk drunk drunk. His robes ashevel. (The wizard).
Natalie – On guard and watching the others.
Alexandra – Playing servant and keeping the party going.

They engage in a vicious bard off, having a battling show as the bards leap to the table to sing and dance.

Nix tells Natalie that Orlivarch has gone cannibal and now eats people. She mentions she’ll tell Thomas. Mentions Sheriff Cage Blunnde. Natalie and Nix get on very well for some time.

Ka’tet makes very nice with the soldiers and the party is not even charged for the stay.

Cage Blunnde:

“Taldan colonists fell to infighting when they tried to conquer the stolen lands after they found gold.”

“Tatzlworm – trapping evil reptiles. Eat people. They’re all over the Stolen Lands. Charters? Good idea, bad execution. Black Knights of Dis headed due south. "

The Party recruited Natalie away from the Merry Band, and offered her a Baronettship to start in exchange for her services.

Ka’tet slips off in the night with Denton.

March 6

The day is warm and overcast, with a light wind. The party departs the fort early, heading south along the river and encounters Benedict the spice merchant.
Jacob and Martin, the guards. Jacob picked his teeth.

Benedict from Daggermark buys the allspice from Nix and gives her quite the bargain, and a wooden nickel.

March 7

The day is clear and passes without incident. External incident that is.

The party encounters the waterfalls along the Shrike at the Crooked Falls.

March 8

Chilly and Rainy.
Foraging commences and the party spars, knocking Natalie unconscious. After she is healed, they break west and head away from the shrike before turning south tho meet its next bend.

March 9,

Encounters a strange man, who when awakened…. may be named Cuervin? Corwin?

11,12,13,14, 15
Days pass without incident.

Warm and cloudy, the party, which now apparently includes Cuervin, encounters a bend in the river, where an odd sighting is found.

A strange undead approaches the party, and combat ensues. He is eventually bribed with 5 coppers to return to the river and the party now searches for the “Stag Lord” amongst their other persuits.

Exploration begins in earnest, but foraging is unsuccesful.

18 – 28
It remains cloudy throughout (except for the storm) and Natalie takes over the foraging duties.

Terrible storm
Hamilton and Cuervin are lost briefly. Hamilton is found. Cuervin is not.

A giant centipede is encountered and put down. Violence is involved. Natalie and Nix are somehow convinced to never decide to eat Ka’tet

a troll is sited at a distance. The party nopes and ducks right the hell off.

Session 2
Wherin Mike and Lou join up

March 29th

Chilly with a light breeze. And travelling west across the hills, the party crests a rise to see a strange column of smoke, small and narrow, rising through the air beyond them.

Hamilton is speared, but survives. Natalie chats with Gareth, an adventurer extrodinaire, who is found in the grass, when they encounter kobolds who were seeking to eat Hamilton. Kana arrives and helps Hamilton, before regarding Gareth as a thief.

Gareth and Kana are made offers. Gareth expresses a disinterest in a title, but Kana is intrigued by the idea of a knighthood.

During the night, a Mite stabs Ka’tet in the throat while she sleeps. Fucking mites. More mites are seen retreating into the hollow beneath the Old Sycamore

The party follows them down, with Gareth dropping down into their caverns. He is swiftly hit with flying caltrop.

The party continues into the underground, where Gareth is repeatedly poisoned by centipedes. The party becomes… enraged. Nix killed everything in sight, save that which is exploded by Kana, or mauled by Notch.

Session 3

March 29th… continued.

Late at evening, the remnants of the second party (Hello Adam and Kristin!) find themselves camped under a giant Sycamore, listening to the bickering over centipedes that is occurring in the tree.

With some difficulty, they get the injured out of the tree, and spend some time getting to know each other, and also uncovering some of Cuervin’s story, discovering that he is a ship’s captain who tried to bring refugees from a far away cataclysm, and bring them along the pathway of divinity to Golarion.

That conversation is interrupted by a mite attack, and after, the party spends some time sharing their personal stories with each other.

They make an expedition into the tree, and rescue a kobold, with the party almost losing Elric, who is sent on, well, basically a suicide run in. He is rescued by the party after “scounting” down a pit.

Session 4

March 29th, still

The party decides to withdraw from the tree, and seek some rest. They head a couple miles away and rest

March 30th

Weather is crisp but not cold, with a light breeze, on a clear day.

The party explores the area around the Sycamore.

March 31st

Rainy, windy, and chill with a strong and biting wind

The party heads North East

April 1st


Exploration of the area north east of the Sycamore.

The party finds an odd dead tree, perhaps struck by lightning. There is a crow about and distrurbed earth. Digging up the ground, they find an EXPLOSION which knocks half into bleedout, as well as a badass leather cloak, wrapped around a cache of items, including a fancy dagger and magic wand.

April 2nd

Natalie and Lea are still both unconscious from their wounds.

The party remains resting through the day

April 3rd

Shortly after noon, Lea awakens and heals the party in a burst of light.

April 4th

The party decides to try to track back the trail of who left the spellbook. They discover that one set came from the south east and left south west, and a second different one came from the south west and left to the north west.

The party heads northwest.

They encounter the lair of the massive trapdoor scorpion, and decide to avoid it.

April 5th

They arrive at Oleg’s Trading post and find out that the bandits have been robbing Oleg on the regular and also threatening the lives of Oleg and his wife Svetlana. The party agrees to help them and use the fort as a base of operations.

April 6th

Lea and Nix head SW into the forest while the remainder of the party stays at Oleg’s, intending to join the bandits as a possible infiltration, possible new lifestyle.

Valinar head towards Restov to recruit mercenaries. He encounters a youngish lad upon the road, bootless and cloakless, but armed with a quarterstaff (named Thomas). Thomas eagerly joins the party!

April 7th

Valinar encounters Kesten Garess on the road to fort Serenko, a dour mercenary, and hires him and his men. He is a mounted cavalryman, and comes with three of his own men, for 40sp a day! They continue east, chosing to cut around Fort Serenko, at Garess’s recomendation. Garess warns that the sheriff is in a terrible mood because an obese wizard is staying there.

Session 5

April 6th (Mike)

Awakening late and asking some questions, he sits down with the mercenaries and discusses fortifying Oleg’s. He also discusses appropriate recompense with Oleg and Svetlana and finds out that they’re loaded.

April 7th (Abby and Kristin)

Travelling through the day, the party encounters Loretta, alone and lost in the forest, seeking a lost shrine.

April 8th

Valinar continues towards Restov,
Gareth continues building fortifications
Lea talks with Kressle and lays out easy outs for her, laying out the areas where there won’t be an incursion. Nyx mentions “you can do whatever you want in the Narlmarches”

April 9th, 10th. Nothing of interest happens…. except that Valinar asks Kesten to recruit another 13 light infantry, which is accomplished.

April 12th,

The party meets up at Oleg’s, each with tales to tell.

There is a lengthy talk where tales of what has transpired are exchanged at length.

(The party talks to itself for an hour)

Session 6

April 13th

The party sets out from Oleg’s, traveling SW into the forest. They travel light, leaving the carts and guards, and bringing only Natalie.

April 14th

They spend some time searching and exploring the area SW of Oleg’s. They find a patch of moon radishes, and sneak them away from the kobolds that are left in the field with them. They do this through pure stealth without waking the kobolds.

They then find out that moon radishes are worth 500 sp /bushel.

April 15th

The party is stopped in a clearing, by the cricket like sounds of the fiddling faeries. Comedy ensues, when Nyx and Lea are ensorcelled to dance, but Valinar, through his elven grace, is able to lead (as in dance lead) them out of the clearing, at a loss of only two raddishes.

The party returns to Oleg’s and sells the radishes, pulling in 2500 silver and chest to store it in.

April 16th

The party (PCs + Violette, Thomas and Natalie) decides to explore the area around Olegs, in a fit of paranoia. They find a ring of stones in a firepit, where the bandits appear to have been observing Oleg’s from.

April 17th

The party continues into the forest, and is assaulted by bandits, somewhat by mistake. After Nyx stabs one to death, and Violette headshots a second, Thomas comes through with a terrifying display of wizardly power (also known as extraordinary luck), and terrifies the bandits into fleeing. That probably should not have worked, which Violette comments upon.

April 18th

The party turns west and heads deeper into the forest. Happs Bydon is encountered, and hired on as the Tax Collector. He and his bandits become “Tax Collectors” but don’t really change what they’re doing.

Happs requests 950 a month for a group worth 850. He gets 950 for the first and 850 thereafter and accepts that saying “Fuck it”

Nyx is appointed as first ranger over them.

April 19th

They explore the area, nothing is found. But oddly Thomas claims that he gave the rabbit furs to a visiting invisible dragon. A discovery of the faerie dragon results in a cabbage being tossed, and a snickering escape.

Session 7
Wherein Matt joins up

April 20th

The party has returned to Oleg’s to resupply and check in on the progress of the construction (Deus ex machina to explain why they are able to encounter Matt, Ka’Tet, etc.).

A discussion about the distinction between tax collectors and bandits ensues, in regards to a missing horse and other matters.

Jhod arrives, and discusses a temple in the woods. He offers to help journey in to find it together. The party (Nyx) tells him about Loretta, and some shared backstory is revealed where he mentions the damage Loretta has done. .

April 21-23 are spent “preparing for the next journey” and waiting for Happs to drop in.

April 24th

Happs arrives with 3 horses that match the description of Trots, who is Pollox’s horse. None of them are Trots.

The party sets out to explore.

The party heads SW into the forest. They find the raddish clearing has been destroyed by powerful necromancy and… fuck off!

April 25th

The party continues SW and encounters a pair of orcs. They are killed and looted of a strange letter, and other things.

April 26th

Jhod prepares comprehend languages and the letter is translated.

It reads “Chief GrukGruk summons you to war council at the silver lake. Come or be butchered.”

They continue on to Happs’s camp where Happs is punched and Denton is discovered to be kidnapped.

Further it’s discoverd that in a chest of gold Happs has, there’s a false bottom with a black lotus flower.

Denton is rescued and sent on his way.

Happs and his band attack in the night. Happs is sold as a slave, and one of the bandits is executed. Two more run off in the night

April 27th

Session 8

April 27th

The party explores the area around the ford campsite.

They find a group of 4, the Sons of Daggermark, and comment that everyone has a charter. The Sons are encouraged to join up for a while.

April 28th

The party continues SW along the forest trails, encountering Tuskgutter’s lair. The boar is killed in exactly the way you kill boars, and the girls wash off from the blood.

April 29th

Fully Explore tuskgutter’s area.

April 30th

The party continues SW, encountering a Thylacine in a tiger trap. They nope the situation after sending the Sons of Daggermark to investigate.

They shoot the Thylacine

May 1

The party hires on the Sons of Daggermark to look for traps and mark them on a map. They are offered 500sp/month to join up with this mission, less supplies.

Fully exploring the area finds another encounter with the invisible dragon dropping fruit. He tries to steal a buckle off Gareth’s boot, and ends up greasing him out of the tree. Gareth is hurt pretty badly, and a stretcher is made.

May 2

The party turns W to head deeper in the woods and meet the Skunk River. Tatzlwyrms are encountered and Pollux is savaged. Heads are taken and the Tatzlwyrms are taken appart for components.

Pollox goes on the stretcher.

May 3-7

In the morning Jhod greets the dawn with powerful healing. The party decides it’s time to hike back to get supplies and turn in the Tatzlwyrms

They encounter some skunk cabbage and one of their own patrols, before returning to Oleg’s where there is now a set of farms being set up.

Sventlana is resolving disputes between farmers.

May 8 -31 Doowwwwnnn time… Palisade is built and

Session 9

June 1

The party collects revenue from the farmers, and plans their next adventure.

The party checks for adventure ideas and finds some wanted posters. After talking with Kesten Garess, they decide to squeeze Oleg, and get 2000sp out of him.

The party heads out on adventure, bringing with them the following NPCs:

Jhod Kavken

Sufficient rations are brought to last 20 days.

The party heads West out into the plains, encountering Nathaniel the adventuring supplier, who has set up a large yurt thing.

June 2

The party looks around and explores the now empty plains.

June 3

The Party heads West into the northern most reaches of the Narlmarches.

They wander around the woods for a while.

June 4

Exploration commences.

Natalie is snapped by a bear trap. After Jhod heals everyone, Happs is tied up and the party goes to bed. Kressel arrives in the night and attempts to recover Happs. She is killed by Nyx.

June 5

Dawn comes without a further attack. The party heads SW. Boars are encountered and Natalie is dropped after setting to receive charge. After the combat, Jhod heals everything, and it is revealed that he had dramatically more healing energy than he’d been using all along. When asked why, he answers that no one had asked.

June 6

The area is searched, and the traps of the dead cannibal Breeg Orlivanch are found. Much disgust is displayed, yet somehow the party loots him anyways, gaining a hatchet.

June 7

The party heads SW encountering a stag who stops to watch them. Nyx hangs out with the stag for a while, and it turns out to be soft. It answers none of the questions posed to it. After a few hours, it fucks off.

June 8

Exploration encounters hot springs in the river. There’s an area with lovely hot springs in the river!. Frogs are sighted and the dip is passed up on.

June 9

The party heads East and the stag is encountered again. Nyx pets it and feeds it again. After a few hours it fucks off.

June 10

The party explores the area. They find the lost Stag temple and remove the bear creature. Jhod says he’s going to stay there and read the carvings. The party examines the shrine/temple in detail, noticing alcoves where people may have slept, or been buried. No bodies are found.

June 11

June 11

The party heads SW encountering trees, rocks and other wilderness features.

June 12

The party encounters a frog riding a frog and decide to abandon the area.

June 13

The party continues SW without incident

June 14

The party explores the area finding only a single usable ford, where the tatzlwyrms were and may still be. It turns out they are, and are lured out by pulling the bait to their own trap towards the shoreline. The bait turns out to be an armored skeleton, with a substantial treasure in its pack.

June 15

The party begins to return to the stag temple. They find Duncan’s Dungeoneer’s who are building a palisade in the hex with the Frog on a Frog.

June 16

The party returns to the stag temple and is healed without incident.

June 17

The party continues towards oleg’s finding boar tracks

June 18

The party continues towards Oleg’s and encounters a patrol of southwind soldiers.

June 19

A letter is sent to request that a priest be sent to assist the new settlement, and perhaps also a scholar to identify the magical things that are coming out of the woods.

Svetlana is left in charge of the money, and the notion of a brothel is planted in her mind. She’s not entirely receptive.

June 20

A merchant arrives selling spices. His flower is returned, and a small finder’s fee is passed along. He’s given some of the magic water from the fountains. Lots of information is exchanged, and some chocolate is purchased.
